When we went to the Kennedy Center we learned a lot of amazing things like did you know that the Kennedy Center is over 38 years old and that the Kennedy Center opened in 1971. Did you also know that the Kennedy Center is 60ft tall 640 ft wide and 630ft long. The Hall of Nations has over 60 countries flags. The Kennedy Center is a living memorial to President Kennedy. There is also a Presidents box for each theater. Its not only that it also a cultural center for the music and arts. Each country gave something to the Kennedy Center. Italy gave the biggest gift. Over 2000 tons of marble were shipped from Italy and were put into the walls and floors. 1 ton chandeliers were given to us from Sweden. The mirrors were a gift from Belgium. Austria gave us a giant chandelier that hangs in the Opera house. There are over 2000 Crystals in the chandelier. The Opera house can hold up to 2300 people. We then visited the Concert Hall that is where the National Symphonic Orchestra plays it can hold over 2440 people people. We also visited the Terrace Theater that can hold 500 people. When we visited the Kennedy Center we learned a lot of things when we went there and we hope you can experience the same thing we did.
