The most interesting places in Washington D.C

When we went to D.C we saw a lot of things like the White House. We didn't get to go inside but we saw the outside. We then went to the White house visitor center. There is a lot of interesting things to see there here is some of it:Truman Renovation,Air Force One,etc. Here are some of the rooms in the White House:Ground Floor,Library,Vermiel room,Diplomatic Recion room,China room,Map room,East room, and the Green room. After we ate our lunch we headed to the Washington Monument. It has a different color on the top part of it because of the Civil War.We weren't able to acsess the quarry in Georgia until the end of the war. We then went to the WW2 memorial its really cool. On the right hand side it shows all the states that fought across the Atlantic Ocean. On the left side it shows all the states that fought across or on the Pacific Ocean. The war lasted from 1939-1945 the war was 6 years long. We then went to the Vietnam Memorial there was a long wall that had all the names of the people that died in the war. Lastly we went to the Lincoln Memorial here is one of his qoutes

"In this temple

As in the hearts of the people

For whom he saved the Union

The memory of Abraham Lincoln is Enshrined Forever"
